Three Men, All With Guns, Rob Springfield Man Friday Night

VolVapor Ad 300According to Springfield Police, three men (each armed with a gun) robbed a 57 year old man in his front yard in Springfield around 11PM Friday evening. According to a witness and the victim, a blue van or Caravan type of vehicle was driving up and down the street by their home.

The victims didn’t think much of the van until it stopped and three men wearing masks jumped out. After dropping off the three men, the van drove off, so police say there is likely a fourth suspect. After jumping out of the van the three men, all with guns and masks, ran up to the victim in his own front yard and demanded money.

The victim handed over his cell phone and his wallet.  According to Springfield Police, the robbers escaped with a very small amount of cash and a cell phone.

The three suspects are described as three black or Hispanic males with slender builds. The suspect who demanded the money spoke fluent Spanish according to the victim and the witness. After robbing the gentleman, the three suspects ran North into the dark. The robbery took place in the 200 Block of 16th Ave E., between Main and Batts Blvd. in Springfield. The witness was about 30 feet away from the victim during the robbery, both men were not harmed in the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Springfield police at 615-384-8422 or Crime Stoppers at 615-382-3799.
