Sumner County School Bus VS Ambulance In Millersville

MILLERSVILLE TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – An out of state ambulance and a Sumner county school bus have collided at the intersection of 31W and Slaters Creek Blvd around 6:45AM Tueasday. They are waiting on another ground ambulance to transfer the patient and continue on to Vanderbilt. According to officials, the bus (in route to Millersville Elementary School) had 27 students on board and one driver. Though there were students on-board the school bus, there appears to be no injuries at this time and the students are being transferred to a new bus. The accident occurred around 7:00AM and as you can see it appears as though the two vehicles sideswiped each-other. As we understand it the bus was pulling onto 31W from Slaters Creek Blvd and the ambulance was heading south on 31W when the two collided.

After the wreck the children were quickly checked out by paramedics and their parents were notified. After police have finished interviewing the children they will be released from the scene and transferred to a temporary bus to school, according to Sumner County Schools’ spokesman Jeremy Johnson.

This wreck has traffic backed up on 31W and three separate accidents on I-65 have snarled southbound coming into Nashville.

If you are heading into Nashville, Smokey recommends waiting until about 10:00AM before heading that way.
