A utility pole on 5th Ave near WDBL Rd snapped this evening taking out power to residents in the area. (Exact location of pole)
Workers near by said the old wood pole just snapped all by itself. It will likely affect power for another hour. The early word was that a semi hit the pole but Robertson County Sheriff’s investigators said there was no evidence of that. Additionally, the pole did look to be fairly old with a good load of wires and equipment on it.
WDBL 1590AM radio has been affected by the outage and will resume broadcasting as soon as power is restored.
