Domestic Dispute Leads To Officer-Involved Shooting In Millersville

Millersville Police were dispatched to Meadow Lane regarding a domestic call. The call came in just before 2:00AM Friday Morning.  Two officers responded to the call when (according to police) a man pointed a gun at one of the officers and one officer shot the suspect in the leg.

The suspect was transported to Skyline Medical Center. No officers were injured.

The Millersville Police Chief just resigned (story) less than two weeks ago and just a few days ago a body was found in Millersville, (story) so the last two weeks have been very active in the normally quiet town of Millersville.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) are currently investigating the incident. It is normal for another agency to investigate after an officer involved shooting.

Whether the Millersville shooting officer deliberately aimed low hitting the man in the leg is not known at this time, but either way the man is very lucky for the officer’s discretion under the alleged circumstances.

We are not expecting any major new developments in this story but if new details do emerge Smokey will bring them to you.

This is the second officer involved shooting in Millersville in the last 12 months.
